And in addition, it enables you to get featured in Photo Searches. Infact, the most viewed and popular profiles are the ones that have an attached photograph. So, we recommend you to upload your photo to further enhance your profile and increase your chances of finding your partner quickly.
Does the Photo Upload Feature grant me any flexibility?
Yes, you can upload up to 5 photographs and create your own personalized photo album. However do make sure that your face is clearly visible in your default photo. You can choose any one to be your default photo at a time and can keep on interchanging /deleting or adding new photographs. Moreover, this feature empowers you with complete privacy controls, facilitating you to show your photograph only to the people you are interested in and hide it at any time you wish to.
Are there any do’s & don’ts I need to take care of while uploading my photograph?
1. The image file should be in JPG or GIF Format
2. The size of each photograph must not exceed 300KB.
3. Do note that the ideal width & height id 49 x 72 inches and 250 x 360 inches.
4. Moreover, your chosen photograph(s) must be in accordance with the socially acceptable standards. SimplyMarry.com reserves the right to remove/delete any photograph that violates socially accepted norms of decency and/or contains any form of nudity.
5. Also, do not post caricatures or copyrighted images.
Give me some advice/ tips to make my photograph look better
Here are some time tested tricks that have done wonders for our users:-
1. Choose a solo photograph having a close-up or a full view. Keep away from group photographs where you are only a small part of the whole photo because it raises confusion for the viewer and also encourages comparisons which may not always work to your advantage.
2. Professionally clicked snaps would make a great difference in comparison to the ones clicked by you at random. Professionals are well versed with the right angles, lightening and backdrops and adjust them to make you look your best. So getting a snap professionally clicked is definitely worth the effort.
3. Choose photographs where you are the focus of attention and not the scenery surrounding you. Your prospective partner wants to judge you and not the beauty around you!!
4. Consider picking up photographs that are bright and colorful. Photographs tend to become a little darker when seen on your desktop, so avoid posting photographs shot in the night.
5. After selecting and scanning your photograph, do not forget to use Image Enhancing Software like Adobe PhotoShop or Corel Photopaint. Many good cyber cafes offer services in this regard. Ask someone trained there to adjust the brightness, hue, contrast and saturation levels to give you best results.
How Do I Add photographs to my profile?
There are 3 ways in which you can post a photograph.
UPLOAD THE PICTURE FROM YOUR COMPUTER YOURSELF
1. Log-in with your SimplyMarry ID
2. Click on “My Profile”
3. Click on “Edit my Profile”
4. Click on “Upload Now” in left side.
5. Click on the “Browse” button , select a photograph you want to upload from your computer and click on “Upload”. You can upload upto 5 photographs and choose any to be your default photo. Also, you can choose any of the privacy options provided at this stage.
BY EMAIL: Attach the files with your photo(s) and mail them across to simplymarryphotos@timesgroup.com. Remember to write in your Name, Log-in ID along with Profile ID and Password. We will upload it with in 48 hours and inform you thereafter.
BY SNAILMAIL: If you do not have a digital photo of yourself, then read the instructions about how to add a non-digital photograph and send us your photograph at the address given there.
I have a normal, non - digital photograph of myself. Can I still add it to my Profile on SimplyMarry.com?
Yes, SimplyMarry.com provides a FREE scanning and image digitizing service to all its members. If you do not have a soft copy then do send us your photograph at the address given below. We will be more than happy to scan, enhance, optimize and upload and attach it to your profile.
Please put your photograph in a non-crushable envelope with your SimplyMarry.com Log-in ID, Profile ID, Name, email ID and signature written behind the photograph.

The search on SimplyMarry.com has been designed in a user-friendly way so that it is always effective and yields the results that you are looking for.
What are the types of search options available?
Best Search - This enables you to search fast using parameters like Marital Status, Age, Religion, Community, Caste, Location etc.
Caste Search - This enables you to search your partner on the basis of caste.
Advanced Search – The search has been made on several more parameters like height, religion, education, occupation and so on.
Profession Search – By using this, you can search your preferred partner on the basis of education and profession.
Education Search - By using this, you can search your preferred partner on the basis of education
Manglik Search – You can search for your Manglik partner by using the Manglik search option.
Keyword Search – The search can also be made on the basis of keyword like Doctor in Delhi etc.
Please explain “My Saved Searches”
Search Name - This is an option that appears after you log in of saving your searches with a name that you can give. This option appears after you log in. If you want to search later, you would just need to specify that search agent name and fire the same search. For example, if a search is carried out with the parameters, say religion & age, the search is saved under a Search Agent name specified by you, which you can use for later searches.
Even though many fields are optional filling, all the fields gives you a faster and more focused result. We urge you to fill out the form as completely as possible to experience the full power of the site.
In what order is the partner search results displayed?
The search results are displayed in the order of membership status for users who are members and in terms of freshness for non-members. If you want to search in terms of freshness, please click on the “Freshness” button on the extreme right of the “Search Result” panel.
Shortlist - After selecting a few profiles, when you click on this link, the selected profiles would be saved in the “Shortlisted Profiles” section. But remember, you should be logged in for using the service.
Compare - This link is used for comparing profiles at the time of search. You can select upto 5 profiles & compare them on parameters like Age, location, occupation, marital status & mother tongue.
Forward – By using this link, you can forward max 5 profiles to your friend or no your personal mail id.
What is Profile ID?
The Profile ID is your unique ID that you selected for yourself at the time of registration. This is the name by which you are known on the site. A user can see your profile details by inputting the profile ID in the given profile ID box on the home page.
I would like to change my preferences for my partner search. How do I do that?
You can change your preferences for ideal partner search from the search result page itself. There is an option to Modify Search on the top. Moreover, you can also start a New Search to find your soulmate.
I found a profile that I like. Can I save it for later reference?
Yes, you can shortlist more than one profile and contact them later on.

How do I contact someone?
To contact a person simply go their profile page and click on Connect Now. You can initiate contact with them by sending them any one of the preformatted messages. Or, if you are our premium member, then you can even send a personalized message to the profile members.
How do I come to know that someone has contacted me?
Once someone shows interest in your profile, you will be intimated by email and sms alert. Moreover, you can also logon to SimplyMarry.com and go to My Contact section on your My Page.
